Sustainable business is an important corporate objective at Van der Valk Hotel Venlo. Controlling the environmental impact of the hotel plays an important role in this. The management and all employees are responsible for this. To fulfill this corporate objective, we follow the guidelines established by Green Key, a European-recognized label by the Foundation for Environmental, Safety, and Quality Certification.

Green key is a well-known international hallmark for sustainable businesses in the hotel and recreation industry. This hallmark shows that we are doing everything we can to minimize the impact of our business on nature and the environment. We go a step further than normal laws and regulations require. With the hallmark, we demonstrate that a concrete policy has been adopted to make our hotel, restaurant, and meeting products more sustainable.

An important part of the Green Key certificate is that you, as our guest, do not experience any inconvenience from the sustainable actions we undertake. And no, you are not expected to constantly consider nature and the environment during your vacation. On the contrary: you might enjoy your vacation even more with the thought in mind that you are being environmentally friendly.
