De Maasduinen National Park, between Arcen and Wellerlooi, forms the longest river dune belt in the Netherlands. Here, you can hike through over 4,000 hectares of nature featuring characteristic parabolic dunes and rare flora and fauna.

South of the Maasduinen lies the Zwart Water area, formed by old Meuse riverbeds. The Venkoelen, created by peat extraction, is the largest body of water in this area. It is surrounded by forest planted starting in 1930, interspersed with grasslands that merge into the Vreewater. Thanks to two hiking trails, this area is excellent for exploring.

All that walking naturally calls for some well-deserved relaxation, and our hotel is the perfect place for that. After your walk, you can enjoy a delicious 3-course dinner in Restaurant V in the evening.
You’ll then spend the night in one of our hotel rooms, waking up feeling well-rested. A generous breakfast buffet will give you the energy you need to set off again.
