Sustainable success

Already at an early stage and well before the foundation stone of the new hotel was laid, a lot of time was spent on the choice of "building materials".

The City Office in Venlo has been an important source of inspiration for us. Venlo's municipal office was built Cradle to Cradle and is a leading example of Dutch Cradle to Cradle architecture.

Our new hotel consists of a wide range of sustainable materials and techniques. During the entire development and construction process, we also realized that it is a utopia to be able to build a 100% Cradle to Cradle hotel. Hopefully that will change in the future.

What is successful?

  • All wall tiles are C2C certified
  • Sustainable insulation material throughout the building
  • Heat-resistant and sound-insulating glass
  • Green energy from wind
  • Sustainable landscaping and water supply with rainwater basins
  • Floor tiles made of recycled glass (with wood pattern)
  • C2C door fitting
  • Sustainable curtains and wall coverings
  • C2C adhesive for tiles and wallpaper
  • Sustainable company clothing
  • Local ingredients for kitchen and bar
  • Honey from our own hives
